Operations department is responsible for yoox.com’s and Online Flagship Stores’s Distribution Logistics, Digital Production, International Content & Localization, Customer Care & Loss Prevention, International Operations and Quality & Innovation.


The site manager will be responsible for the development and activities of one of the main Operations sites of the group, both in terms of size and of importance, and will be in charge of the complete life cycle of the product, inbound logistics, cataloguing and photography, logistics and distribution, as well as how high quality and challenges in service influence the shopping experience of the final consumer.


The site manager will be responsible for all aspects of Operations as applied to the online luxury sector, P&L, as well as the management of internal teams and 3PLs.


Main Activities

  • Budget management;
  • Optimisation of operating costs for the areas under their responsibility, without affecting the quality or level of service perceived by the customer;
  • Strategic activities and contracts with partners and contractors;
  • Planning the arrival of products, in close coordination with the Sales Department
  • Build and maintain the production plan to effectively manage “time to market”
  • Optimisation of the product flow by effectively monitoring corporate KPIs;
  • Development of logistics processes aimed at achieving the levels of customer satisfaction as requested by the business
  • Establishing valid supporting data and information for decision making;
  • Implementation of “Lean Thinking” in processes and procedures;
  • Interacting with all business functions up to C-level
  • Interfacing with the technology teams in order to define the development of information systems to support logistics;



Manage People:

  • Defining and organising the work of resources, delegating activities and monitoring results;
  • Training and helping the assigned resources grow, identifying and proposing corrective gaps in training;
  • Leaving room for cooperation, debate and discussion; sharing knowledge and experience;
  • Giving constant feedback in an honest and constructive way.


Operational Excellence:

  • Managing the project in all its phases: initiation, planning, evaluation, monitoring and closing;
  • Identifying the tasks required to produce deliverables and creating a structured list of activities;
  • Coordinating and organising the work in the group;
  • Monitoring the progress of the project.

  • Assessing the potential risks and benefits of decisions;
  • Finding creative solutions, even by comparing with others;
  • Knowing how to master complexity, deciding promptly and effectively;
  • Having strong action-orientation.


  • Clearly defining the bargaining zone: goals, points of resistance and alternatives;
  • Knowing how to recognise the counterparty’s trading style and understanding the party's decision-making strategies;
  • Managing emotional states and the interlocutor;
  • Leading the development of the negotiation.

Work experience:                                 

  • Required: at least 10 years’ experience in a similar role at a company with a modern structure.



  • Fluent in written and spoken English & Italian.
