Role Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Application Delivery Network - Manager to work within the Application Delivery  technical team. You will lead a multi-disciplined, highly skilled and motivated team across our technologies departments in London and Zola Predosa. Taking the technical strategy from the E-Commerce Operations Manager , you will liaise with the Product Owner to understand the wider business strategy and define the team vision. Working with the Technical Lead, you will be accountable for determining ‘how’ to achieve the agreed business outcomes, for iteratively delivering them and for optimising your team’s productivity and personal development.



Key Responsabilities:

  • You will enable the team to deliver new features and to support the platform, using the appropriate agile methodology, learning & improving frequently
  • You will lead a multidisciplinary team, helping all team members to grow their careers within the company
  • Working with the Product Owner, you will help to define the roadmap for any given product
  • You will match the deliverables of the roadmap and what needs to be achieved against the capacity and capability of the team
  • You will ensure that the team build solutions to an appropriate level of quality
  • You will be able to translate IT and business strategies into deliverable action plans
  • You will resolve conflicts as they arise and facilitating discussions into alternative approaches
  • Ensure that your team understand the business reasons and value underpinning the work that they do
  • Work closely with the recruitment team to attract, hire, on-board & retain talented team members
  • Measure and analyse team performance, and work to improve both the team’s and individuals’ performance and development
  • Embed a culture of quality and continuous improvement, ensuring customer needs are met and expectations exceeded
  • Build effective relationships with your business and key technology team stakeholders and the wider teams
  • Ensure that all stakeholders have an understanding of the team’s objectives and the work being done
  • Actively participate in relevant external technical communities, bringing thought leadership into the business for continuous improvement and your own professional development
  • Direct communicate with business users to gain information that will allow the team to deliver the best solution


Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ Years’ experience as a Manger with a focus on eCommerce
  • Servant leadership, earning respect from your team and be willing to get your hands dirty to get the job done
  • good IT technical background
  • Experience in directly line managing team(s)
  • Experience of delivering value from agile methodologies
  • Experience of building release plans and roadmaps
  • Understanding of eCommerce Technologies
  • Empowering teams to become self-organizing
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Facilitating meetings and team discussions, involving the whole team in group based decision making
  • Ensuring that agile concepts and principles are adhered to, while also being a voice of reason and authority
  • Showing great situational awareness, being the first to notice issues and opportunities, and then being able to exploit these to the team’s advantage
  • Fostering a climate of continuous improvement, both for yourself and your team members, and always looking for ways to improve processes and people
  • Fostering a climate of transparency and openness, to grow and maintain trust in the team and wider business
  • Good comprehension of business logic and needs
  • Availability to travel abroad for short periods of time.
  • Good Knowledge of English is essential.
